1. About StarRise
StarRise is a talent, creativity, opportunity, services, marketplace, and community platform operated by FAM Entertainment. StarRise helps members showcase work, find opportunities, offer services and digital products, support talent, and connect with other participants.
Unless StarRise expressly agrees otherwise in writing, members, sellers, buyers, vendors, partners, and opportunity posters act independently. StarRise is not their employer, agent, manager, or legal representative.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement to create or use a StarRise account.
- You must provide accurate information, maintain only accounts you are authorized to use, and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account and should notify StarRise promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Your profile name, public biography, work, listings, and other information you choose to publish may be visible to other people.
3. Community participation
You may not use StarRise to harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, discriminate against, impersonate, or endanger anyone. You may not upload malware, interfere with the platform, evade access restrictions, collect information without permission, or use StarRise for unlawful activity.
Opportunities, auditions, collaborations, and member communications must be honest and safe. Participants are responsible for evaluating off-platform meetings, contracts, travel, working conditions, and other arrangements before proceeding.
4. Listings, services, and digital products
Sellers must accurately describe their services or products, prices, delivery expectations, rights included with a purchase, and any material limitations. Sellers must own or have permission to offer everything they list.
Buyers must provide reasonable instructions and cooperate with delivery. Purchasing access to a digital item does not transfer copyright or other ownership unless the listing expressly says so. Buyers may not redistribute, resell, copy, or exploit purchased material beyond the license provided by the seller.
5. Talent Fund support
Talent Fund contributions are voluntary support for the stated creative goal. A contribution is not an investment, loan, ownership interest, charitable tax deduction, or guarantee that a project will achieve a particular result. Campaign owners must describe their goals honestly and use support in a manner consistent with their campaign.
6. Payments, fees, and payouts
Payments and connected-account payouts are processed by Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe's terms, identity checks, processing rules, and availability requirements. StarRise does not store complete payment-card numbers.
Prices, platform fees, seller earnings, and other applicable charges are presented in the relevant checkout or transaction record. Sellers are responsible for taxes, reporting, licenses, and legal obligations related to their earnings. Payouts may be delayed or unavailable until the recipient completes required Stripe verification.
7. Cancellations, refunds, and disputes
Refund eligibility depends on the transaction type, delivery status, applicable law, and the StarRise Refund Policy. If something goes wrong, use Contact & Support promptly and provide the related transaction reference.
8. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you create. By publishing content on StarRise, you give StarRise a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote the platform or your listing. This permission ends when the content is removed, except for backups, completed transactions, legal retention, and content already shared with others.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for anything you upload. StarRise may remove content that violates rights, law, safety requirements, or these terms.
9. StarRise property
The StarRise name, branding, platform design, software, and original platform materials are owned by or licensed to FAM Entertainment. These terms do not grant permission to copy the platform, use StarRise branding deceptively, or create an unauthorized competing copy from protected materials.
10. Suspension and termination
StarRise may limit, suspend, or close accounts or listings when reasonably necessary to protect members, investigate fraud, comply with law or payment-provider requirements, prevent platform harm, or enforce these terms. Members may stop using StarRise at any time. Obligations connected to completed transactions, intellectual property, disputes, and legal retention may continue after an account closes.
11. Disclaimers
StarRise is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StarRise does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, member identity, listing quality, earnings, audience growth, opportunity outcomes, project completion, or compatibility between members. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FAM Entertainment and StarRise will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or harm arising from off-platform conduct. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited to the greatest extent the law permits.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Before filing a formal claim, the parties should make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue through StarRise support.
14. Changes to these terms
StarRise may update these terms as the platform develops. The effective date will be revised when changes are published. If a material change requires additional notice or consent under applicable law, StarRise will provide it.
